He's crazy strong with his ability to knock up and slow enemies. Considering the HP stack of this hero, i dont think life runes are the best choice, and you can get penetration with boots and void staff (though I prefer +3 or +2/+5 boots).

He's an all-around tanky dude with an awesome kit. I personnaly use a full AP rune page (85 at lvl 18, wich means nearly 5/lvl, far better than flat ap), and yes, flat runes (not only AP) sucks. No champion compares to the initiation and disruption Zac has. Requirements for a good tank: Sustain (zacs passive), CC, ( zac has slow, knock up and his e actually stuns for a bit, And add rylies to that! ) and off course tankiness.
